Ford Edge Wins 2016 AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Utility Vehicle of the Year Award

The redesigned Ford Edge has won the award for 2016 AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Utility Vehicle of the Year. 

The second-generation Ford Edge has been completely redesigned from bumper to bumper, and the SUV gets a more high-end and stylish look both inside and outside.

The new Edge comes with three engine options: a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 and the Sport model’s 2.7L EcoBoost V6. The SUV has been lauded for its new-found sophistication and host of new technology features.

The Ford Edge got more of your votes than the Fiat 500X, Honda HR-V, Honda Pilot, Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Renegade, Kia Sorento, Mazda CX-3 and Mitsubishi Outlander in this category.

With seven different vehicle categories voted for in this year’s 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards, Ford took home two wins: The Shelby GT350 took home Car of the Year, and its Edge was awarded Utility Vehicle of the Year. Chevrolet also took home two Reader’s Choice wins for the Chevrolet Colorado Diesel as the Truck of the Year, and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 as Sports Car of the Year. Tesla’s Model X took home two wins for the Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year and the Green Car of the Year. The Jaguar XF rounds out the 2016 Reader’s Choice awards as the Luxury Car of the Year.
